About the RoleYou will be an important part the Teen Furniture Product Development team, responsible for all sample management and supporting the dynamic design team throughout presentation preparations and product reviews.ResponsibilitiesAssist design team throughout the product development processAbility to transport materials or equipment or lifting, moving, carrying objects up to 50 pounds on a limited basisUnpack and assemble furniture prototype samples for design reviewCoordinate furniture deliveries to and from archive warehousePlace sample orders using our online ordering systemLabel and wrap furniture samples to protect themTrack development samples using PLM (product lifecycle management) software and print reports in excelPro-actively resolve sample delivery issues with internal warehouse and external logistics partnersAssist with furniture presentation set-up as directed by design teamProduce furniture mock-ups : light carpentry, craft and fabrication skills required for producing visual displays and furniture mock-upsProduct Development meeting preparation : sample set-up, coordinate meeting agenda and produce meeting recapContinually organize samples in the office, packing and sending out older items right away to keep showrooms and storage rooms clearSend out UPS packages and send out tracking to overseas teams
Request sample fabric yardageCriteria1-2 years of work experience with a retail / e-commerce product or manufacturing companyMust work on-site in the San Francisco office and perform in a corporate environmentYou are creative, crafty and able to perform light carpentry and fabrication tasksProficiency in MAC OS and Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and WordStrong organizational and collaborative skillsAbility to prioritize and schedule work in a tight deadline driven environmentSelf-starter and problem solver who is driven, motivated and always has a positive attitudePride yourself on the quality of work and are a stickler for the detailsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsLove to work collaboratively in a group and have innate willingness to dig in and contributeThis role requires being onsite in the San Francisco office
