The Logistics Engineering teams are responsible for the solution design, detailed technical design, development, quality assurance, implementation, post go live validation warranty support and defining the monitoring metrics of the logistics domain and supply chain system capabilities.

About the Role
This role is an important function of the Systems Development Group located in Olive Branch, MS and Litchfield Park, AZ. Supply Chain Development Applications experience is imperative to be successful.
Responsibilities
- Understand relevant business and technology directions within the Logistics & Supply Chain domain and may translate directions into vision and strategy relevant for WSI business and systems needs.
- Understand requirements and helps author technical designs for new systems and system changes, including data conversion and interfaces to other systems. Lead and drive the translation of functional requirements to architectural approaches and technical designs.
- Drive technical decisions for the domain and identifies solutions for issue resolution and tactical opportunities for exploiting new and emerging solutions.
- Participate in developing application system and technology standards, templates and methods and effectively applies standards in designs within their domain.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions and ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of Logistics Warehouse Management systems, among cross functional systems of supply chain and the Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management Open Systems (WMOS) backend database, to design the integration layer among Supply chain systems.
- Provide input into enterprise strategies and roadmaps.
- Effectively communicate relevant information across the Technology organization and partner teams, using appropriate communication methods.
- Analyze and provide guidance for architectural solutions to development and technology initiatives, and operational problems, focusing on adaptable and sustainable solutions.
- Participate in application reviews to ensure all functional and non-functional requirements are met and standards are followed.
- Follow accepted development methodology; provide input in the development of the coding standard used within their domain. Work with the team to ensure they are being followed.
- Lead and participate in multiple teams; provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to other team members.
- Design and develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable architectures.
- Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility.
- Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and high-quality SQL and PL / SQL scripts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Advocate for best practices and modern development methodologies.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for system designs, code, and processes.
- Ensure knowledge transfer and training for team members and the production support team on new project go-live and best practices.
