About the Role

You will be an important part the Teen Furniture Product Development team, responsible for all sample management and supporting the dynamic design team throughout presentation preparations and product reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Assist design team throughout the product development process
  • Ability to transport materials or equipment or lifting, moving, carrying objects up to 50 pounds on a limited basis
  • Unpack and assemble furniture prototype samples for design review
  • Coordinate furniture deliveries to and from archive warehouse
  • Place sample orders using our online ordering system
  • Label and wrap furniture samples to protect them
  • Track development samples using PLM (product lifecycle management) software and print reports in excel
  • Pro-actively resolve sample delivery issues with internal warehouse and external logistics partners
  • Assist with furniture presentation set-up as directed by design team
  • Produce furniture mock-ups : light carpentry, craft and fabrication skills required for producing visual displays and furniture mock-ups
  • Product Development meeting preparation : sample set-up, coordinate meeting agenda and produce meeting recap
  • Continually organize samples in the office, packing and sending out older items right away to keep showrooms and storage rooms clear
  • Send out UPS packages and send out tracking to overseas teams

Criteria

  • 1-2 years of work experience with a retail / e-commerce product or manufacturing company
  • Must work on-site in the San Francisco office and perform in a corporate environment
  • You are creative, crafty and able to perform light carpentry and fabrication tasks
  • Proficiency in MAC OS and Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word
  • Strong organizational and collaborative skills
  • Ability to prioritize and schedule work in a tight deadline driven environment
  • Self-starter and problem solver who is driven, motivated and always has a positive attitude
  • Pride yourself on the quality of work and are a stickler for the details
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Love to work collaboratively in a group and have innate willingness to dig in and contribute
  • This role requires being onsite in the San Francisco office

    The expected starting pay range for this position is $24 - $26 / hour. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
