What are the responsibilities and job description for the ISS/TPC Monitor position at Pottstown School District?
Pottstown School District is currently seeking an ISS/TPC Monitor at Pottstown Middle School.
SUMMARY:
- To assist the principal and teachers with student problems that occur within the realm of responsibility outlined in the job description and commensurate within the scope of a non-certified position.
- Responsible for managing student behaviors during lunch periods, in-school suspension periods, before and after school detention periods.
- Responsible for making, organizing and supervising the before and after-school detention programs and/or as assigned times/location by administration. Responsible for student attendance and absentee problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s Degree preferred (recreation, social work, counseling) or a minimum of three years working with children.
Individual must exhibit a positive attitude, showing through actions, a respect for all children while being able to accept and deal with the inconsistencies of the middle school aged child by using skills and strategies.
Acts 34, 114, and 151 Clearances, Physical, and TB must be presented before employment can commence.
