Pay for this position is determined by the Licensed Educator Salary Schedule based on years of experience and education. Range for position is $54,329 - $81,728 annually (based on a 100% assignment starting August 8th, 2024).
*These pay rates are based on the 2024-25 school year rates and will be updated when approved during the negotiations process around May 2025 for the 2025-26 school year*
This is a probationary position. However, PSD employees currently under a licensed contract may apply for this position and if selected, will retain contract status.
Must have a valid Colorado Educator's License with appropriate endorsement.

FCHS Performing Arts is seeking a co-director of bands to join a wonderful and thriving music department.
About the FCHS Performing Arts Department
FCHS Performing Arts is proud to have a philosophy that is based around reaching all populations of students. We have strong traditional ensembles and theater. We also have general music classes such as guitar, piano, music theory, history of rock and roll, and music production and technology in order to reach more students and get more students involved in music. We are proud to offer a unified music and theater program for our autism/ILS students. All of the current directors teach a mix of traditional ensembles and general music classes. All traditional ensembles get to perform in the wonderful McNeal Performing Arts Center.
The teachers in the FCHS Performing Arts Department work collaboratively to provide an experience for students that includes many aspects of music.
Classes/duties include
- Team teaching concert band (traditionally freshmen) and pep band
- Collaborating with the other co-director on teaching Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and chamber ensembles
- Collaborating with the other co-director on creating a teaching schedule and literature schedule for all bands
- Teaching jazz band
- Teaching some combination of unified music, unified theater, piano, music production, or music theory
- Active involvement in FCHS’s middle school feeder programs
- Candidates will go through two rounds of interviews. After the initial interview, chosen candidates will be expected to come back to FCHS to work with an ensemble and/or with a general music class. More information, along with scores and materials will be provided to those who qualify for that round.
