What are the responsibilities and job description for the Applicant Pool - Counseling Intern position at Poudre School District?
To become a counseling intern in Poudre School District, please complete the Counseling Intern application. This application is for placements starting in fall 2025.
To be considered for a counseling intern placement in one of our schools, you should:
- be entering your final semester/year of a counseling preparation program
- be able to pass a criminal background check, including submitting a complete set of fingerprints to the Colorado Department of Education/PSD
- be enrolled in a college/university that has a signed internship agreement with PSD (see below)
Placements will be completed with the following criteria:
- availability of qualified staff/counselor(s) in requested areas
- willingness of schools/staff to take an intern
- outcome of internship interview between principal, counselor lead/supervisor, and prospective intern
