What are the responsibilities and job description for the Applicant Pool - Student Teachers position at Poudre School District?
To become a student teacher in Poudre School District, please complete the Student Teacher Application. This application is for fall 2025 placements.
To be considered for a student teaching placement in one of our schools, you should:
- be entering your final semester/year of a teacher/education preparation program
- be able to pass a criminal background check, including submitting a complete set of fingerprints with the Colorado Department of Education/PSD
- be enrolled in a college/university that has a signed student teaching/internship agreement with PSD (see below)
Placements will be completed with the following criteria:
- availability of qualified staff/educator(s) in requested areas
- willingness of schools/staff to take a student teacher
- outcome of student teacher interview between principal, mentor teacher, and prospective student teacher
