Sheet Metal Installer

About the Role: As a Sheet Metal Installer, you will play a critical role in the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of ductwork and other sheet metal components for HVAC systems in residential properties. You will be responsible for ensuring that all sheet metal installations meet industry standards and provide efficient airflow and ventilation. Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork for commercial  HVAC systems.
• Measure, cut, and shape sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine installation requirements.
• Install and connect ductwork, fittings, dampers, and vents according to specifications.
• Ensure all ductwork is properly sealed, insulated, and secured for optimal performance.
• Inspect and test installed duct systems to identify leaks, airflow issues, or necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with HVAC installers and technicians to ensure seamless system installation.
• Follow all safety guidelines, building codes, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and job progress.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sheet Metal Installer in a commercial setting.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC ductwork systems, fabrication techniques, and installation practices.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Skilled in using metal shears, brakes, rollers, and other sheet metal tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
