Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork for commercial HVAC systems.
- Measure, cut, and shape sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine installation requirements.
- Install and connect ductwork, fittings, dampers, and vents according to specifications.
- Ensure all ductwork is properly sealed, insulated, and secured for optimal performance.
- Inspect and test installed duct systems to identify leaks, airflow issues, or necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with HVAC installers and technicians to ensure seamless system installation.
- Follow all safety guidelines, building codes, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and job progress.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sheet Metal Installer in a commercial setting.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC ductwork systems, fabrication techniques, and installation practices.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Skilled in using metal shears, brakes, rollers, and other sheet metal tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
