Diesel Truck Technician Medium/Heavy Duty

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with diesel engines and industrial equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Duties

• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on diesel engines and related systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Align and adjust components as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
• Operate forklifts and cranes safely while handling heavy lifting tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used during repairs.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Adhere to safety protocols while working in a shop environment.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in diesel engine repair.
• Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with maintenance work.
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must have own tools.
• Certifications are preferred but will provide training to right candidate.
• If not held, must be willing to pursue ASE certification.
• A valid driver's license is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
