Job Description:
Overview:
This position provides platting support to engineers for site/commercial and residential land development projects, focusing on subdivision platting and related tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing subdivision plat, development plat, site plan, and/or abandonment application submittal packages for reviewing municipalities and/or agencies.
- Coordinate with project team members, including subdivision platting, land planning, and project management teams, to prepare plat recordation packages for submittal to various municipalities.
- Attend plat recordation meetings with reviewing municipalities and/or agencies.
- Collaborate with subdivision platting team members to prepare all aspects of subdivision plat recordation packages.
- Participate in the quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) process for finalizing subdivision plats.
- Support due diligence and feasibility study research for engineering design and subdivision platting proposals.
- Obtain addresses for subdivision plats and/or development site plans and prepare address maps for recorded plats.
- Archive subdivision platting-related documentation, including project files, recorded plats, and address maps.
- Provide technical support for land planning, subdivision platting, and site planning projects.
- Assist in preparing concept plans, schematic plans, and presentation graphics in digital format.
Qualifications:
- 0-5 years of related work experience in land development or a similar field.
- High school diploma or GED certification required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Adobe Suite, SketchUp, Lumion, or similar 3D graphics software is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Basic knowledge of planning principles and practices; familiarity with local agency criteria is a plus.
- Ability to review plans and ensure compliance with ordinances and codes.
- Experience creating graphic designs, development strategies, and renderings of site plans is highly desirable.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime as needed.
