Poultry Times, a privately owned publication dedicated to providing quality journalism for the poultry industry, is seeking a talented Content Writer to join our team. Based in Gainesville, GA, we are committed to delivering insightful news through both digital and print platforms. We are looking for someone who is passionate about producing engaging content and connecting with our audiences to drive growth across our digital channels.

What You Will Do

  • Create compelling content for our print and digital platforms, covering topics relevant to the poultry industry and our audience.
  • Engage audiences by writing in a clear, concise, and engaging manner, tailoring your tone for different platforms and readers.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop innovative content strategies, ensuring we meet the needs and interests of our growing digital audience.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends by researching and understanding the latest news and developments in the poultry sector, applying that knowledge to your writing.
  • Support content distribution across various channels, including social media, to increase reach and engagement with our audience.
  • Proofread and edit your work and the work of others to ensure accuracy and quality in every piece published.
  • Contribute to the growth of our digital presence by helping drive new ideas and strategies for content creation and outreach.

  • Flexibility and willingness to take on additional tasks as needed, including managing and editing content.

    • Bonus Skills :

  • Experience with Constant Contact , Social News Desk , or podcasting would be a plus.

    • This position offers a mix of remote and in-office work, with a typical weekday schedule of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. based at our Gainesville office .
