About This Career
As a member of the Bar Leadership Team, you are on the front lines of service to your team and guests. Your leadership and genuine hospitality provide a foundation for our standards of service and are one of the main reasons why our guests return to our bars. Perhaps more than anyone else, you get the chance to steward your fellow bartenders in creating memories and meaningful connections for our guests, which is the heart of building regulars. As the Lead bartender, your team is growing personally and professionally under your care. You are continually practicing responsible service, supporting your team, and stewarding every aspect of the guest’s experience.
Behind the scenes, the Lead Bartender works in tandem with the General Manager to assist in ordering for the venue, learning and understanding the importance of maintaining a COGs (Cost of Goods sold) Budget that is inline to ensure profitable operations. The Lead Bartender will also work alongside the General Manger to ensure in-venue ambiance is clearly understood, dialed in and consistent.
Alongside other members of the Bar Leadership Team, you maintain and oversee the bar's cleaning schedule and are proud of its flawless presentation. You are actively participating in the creation, implementation and marketing of events that will build and drive revenue growth.
Position Duties:
- Be punctual and ready to hustle
- Provide responsible service of alcohol
- Know all the products, drink recipes, and preparation techniques at your bar.
- Serve each guest with love, kindness and enthusiasm
- Lookout for and nurture your Barbacks
- Foster relationships and build community around the bar.
- Make a connection with every guest.
- Welcome people into the community and family of your bar
- Always be developing your craft, learn through listening, reading, and research
- Ensuring quality over convenience with every aspect of service

American Bonded is a neighborhood bar named for the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. Its namesake legislation insured quality and defined American Whiskey and in turn, American Bonded provides a high quality experience while highlighting the congeniality and craft of the bartender.
