Shipping and Receiving and Inventory Management

Job Summary

We seek an experienced and detail-oriented operations professional to coordinate shipping, receiving, and inventory management for a growing manufacturing and distribution business. The ideal candidate will accurately execute shipping and receiving orders and then record changes in inventory in our propriety ERP system. As a small business, this role will have exposure to procurement to complete the cycle of warehouse management. This role requires an understanding of warehouse management systems and inventory control methodologies.

Duties

• Manage and execute shipping and receiving daily
• Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize excess.
• Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to track inventory movements and generate reports.
• Oversee the picking, packing, and shipping processes to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Use of pallet jacks and other equipment necessary for inventory management.
• Conduct monthly cycle counts and audits to maintain accuracy in inventory records.
• Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and adjust inventory strategies accordingly.
• Implement best practices for storage, organization, and handling of packages within the warehouse.

Experience

• Proven experience in inventory management within a distribution center environment.
• Hands-on experience with order picking, packing, and recording details in the ERP system.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to warehouse operations is a plus.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
