Description
- PUSD is looking for AVID Tutors who will serve as positive role models and encourage students to be the best they can be. The ideal candidate will be enrolled in a local college or university. High School students, age 16 or above may also apply. Daytime tutor hours (during the school day) vary by location.
Under the general supervision of a principal or designee and the immediate supervisor of a site teacher, AVID tutors will support students in the AVID elective class to help them achieve their academic goals. AVID tutors work with students in small groups and individually to help them improve their academic performance.
