Mitigation Specialist

We are looking for a Mitigation Specialist to join our team to help continue our success in providing top-tier service to clients.

Position Overview:
As a Mitigation Specialist at POWCO LLC, you will play a vital role in providing mitigation services for water, fire, mold, and storm damage. You will work directly with clients, property owners, and insurance companies to ensure prompt, effective, and thorough mitigation services. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

• Perform water, fire, mold, and storm damage mitigation services in residential and commercial properties.
• Inspect properties to assess the extent of damage and determine appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Use specialized equipment (e.g., dehumidifiers, air movers, moisture meters) to assist in mitigation and restoration efforts.
• Coordinate with insurance adjusters to ensure the accurate assessment and processing of claims.
• Communicate effectively with property owners, insurance companies, and contractors.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including photos and documentation for insurance purposes.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client concerns and questions promptly and professionally.
• Manage the cleaning and restoration of affected properties, including removal of water, debris, and hazardous materials.
• Assist in emergency response situations, providing immediate services as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous experience in mitigation, restoration, or a related field preferred.
• IICRC certification (or willingness to obtain) in water damage restoration or other relevant certifications is a plus.
• Strong understanding of water, fire, and mold mitigation techniques and processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work in emergency situations and weekends when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Supplemental Pay:

• Overtime pay
