Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician III will be responsible for maintaining systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts; all while supporting the achievement of the company’s goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, state and federal laws; e.g., OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, etc.
- Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including power tools, voltmeters, grinders, ladders, saws, and hand tools
- Perform building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, gas, and painting repairs as necessary
- Implement preventative maintenance measures
- Maintain, inventory, and be aware of equipment that requires repairs as well as associated supplies that may be required
- Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol
- Reports all major repairs and requisitions to manager or supervisor prior to any expenditure of funds
- Schedules and performs minor as well as routine maintenance on all appropriate equipment on a regular basis. Inspects and maintains all tools
- Use of personal phone for calls, photos, checking email, and documents. Cell phone stipend provided
- Excellent computer skills (including Google docs, sheets, google drive) with ability to quickly learn new programs as needed. Effective written and oral communication skills
- Perform other duties as requested
Requirements
Requirements and/or Qualifications:
- High school Diploma/GED required
- Position requires at least 5 years’ experience in facility maintenance and/or an equivalent field
- Must possess a valid driver’s license – NO major violations on driving record
- Required to work on-site
- Available for weekend, holiday, and on-call work as required.
- Must comply with company policies regarding drug and alcohol use, including random drug testing/alcohol screening and drug testing/alcohol screening based on reasonable suspicion while working.
- Must be working towards or uphold a Master skill level in one or more of the following: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or equivalent field
- Must be able to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and initiate appropriate courses of action
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, establish priorities, meet deadlines, and solve problems
- Must be able to handle confidential matters with absolute discretion
- Proactive solution-based approach which includes strong decision making and judgment
- Must abide by the company handbook and department polices & procedures
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:
- Full range of body movements
- Reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (50lbs)
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and twisting
- Walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain
- Climb/descend stairs/ladders
- Manual dexterity to operate manual tools and power equipment on a constant basis
- Safely handle hazardous materials
Working Environment:
Work is performed inside and outside. Candidate will be exposed to extreme temperatures (hot &cold), sun, wind exposure, inclement weather (rain, snow, ice), high altitudes (9,000 ft ), moving machines/equipment, dust, wet, humid, loud noises, fumes from chemical conditions, and frequent altitude changes.
