Requirements
Role: Parking Attendant
Status: PT Seasonal, Hourly
Shift: Evening
Reporting To: Parking Manager
Position Summary:
Be a part of the team that welcomes our guests to the resort safely with a smile. Facilitate efficient entry and exit to parking areas at Powder Mountain. Maximize utilization of available parking spaces by guiding every vehicle to a space.
Job Performance Expectations:
- Clearly communicate using words and hand motions to safely direct vehicles
- Direct every vehicle in to parking space to maximize lot utilization
- Daily setup and teardown of parking lot signs and cones
- Provide excellent guest service and knowledge of information in all aspects of Powder Mountain
- Greet and welcome guests as they exit their vehicle
- Enforcement of lot for payment or other parking violations
- Assist with carrying guest equipment as necessary
- Collect and recycle waste daily found in and around parking areas
- Calmly and professionally enforce parking lot rules and regulations to guests and employees
- Other duties as assigned in various mountain departments needing assistance
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in parking lot direction or traffic control - preferred
- Professional experience working in a guest facing role
- Flexible schedule: work occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested
- Desire to work at 9,000ft in inclement weather
- Be able to stand for up to 10 hours per day
- Commitment to using UTA or having a 4x4 vehicle
- Team player and striving for what is best for Powder Mountain's guests.
- Able to safely lift 50 Lb. (22.6 Kg)
- Ability to clearly communicate in English
- 18 year old.
Physical Requirements - Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:
- Full range of body movements
- Reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (50lbs)
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and twisting
- Must have command of senses – sight, hearing, touch, and smell
- Vision requirements – close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
- Walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain
- Climb/descend stairs/ladders
- Manual dexterity to operate manual tools and power equipment on a constant basis
- Safely handle hazardous materials
Working Environment:
Work is performed inside and outside. Candidate will be exposed to extreme temperatures (hot &cold), sun and wind exposure, inclement weather (rain, snow, ice), high altitudes (9,000ft ), moving machines/equipment, dust, wet, humid, dry, loud noises, and fumes from chemical conditions and frequent altitude changes.
