Job Title : Prep Cook Department : Food & Beverage, Skylodge Status : Full Time Flex, Year-Round Hourly Reporting To : Executive Chef, Sous Chefs Position Summary : Powder Mountain is seeking Prep Cooks to join our culinary team! We are seeking friendly, and team-oriented individuals to be part of our culinary F&B facilities. Fun atmosphere, excellent benefits, and career opportunity! Job Performance Expectations : Responsible for leading the prep kitchen team in daily tasks; opening / closing, cleanliness, and positive cohesion as a team Work directly with F&B manager for staffing and scheduling needs Develop and keep current a flow plan that maximizes the use of the commissary kitchen for all outlets Plan and execute daily menu and daily offerings Adherence to early morning starts and potential late evenings Create soups and seasoning Slice and dice ingredients Job Requirements and Qualifications : Strong understanding of safe use of kitchen equipment : ovens, grills, fryers, knives Current Utah Food Handlers Permit (required) 2 years Kitchen Management Able to work in a fast-paced environment Physical Requirements - Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to : Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours) Continual use of manual dexterity for safe use of knives, slicers, mixers, pots, pans, other sharp objects, electrical shocks, etc. Working Environment : High-intensity, elevated cuisine, guest-facing kitchen located in a private member's only lodge.
