Position Vacancy:  Principal - Powdersville Middle School

Qualifications:                           

• Valid S.C. Elementary or Secondary Certification in Administration must be submitted
• At least 3 years of assistant principal experience required
• At least 3 years of middle level teaching experience required
• Strong knowledge of middle school level curriculum
• In depth understanding of the middle school program especially as it relates to student discipline, athletics, and school safety
• Excellent organizational skills, strong time management skills and the ability to support the PLC process
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to deal with complex issues
• Ability to articulate high performance expectations to others and the ability to utilize assessment data for school change and improvement
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with individuals and groups from a wide variety of educational and cultural backgrounds and the ability to develop excellent rapport with students, parents and staff
• Ability to manage and supervise systems, processes and personnel
• Proficiency in utilizing instructional technology

Salary:                                        Administrative Salary Schedule

Length of Contract:                     240 Days
