The Cabin Counselor is responsible for the safety, health, and well-being of all campers within assigned cabin throughout the day and from the time they return to the cabin for the evening to when campers are released to instruction the following morning.

The Cabin Counselor is responsible for the safety, health, and well-being of all campers within assigned cabin throughout the day and from the time they return to the cabin for the evening to when campers are released to instruction the following morning.
Responsibilities:
- Cabin Counseling
- Assist campers in daily routine including chores, overall cabin/surrounding area cleanliness, travelling to program activities and meals
- Ensure each camper's individual needs are met regarding their overall 'well-being' (health, safety and wellness)
- Connection & Community - Create a cohesive and positive cabin experience amongst all campers in the cabin
- Counseling to include taking attendance with required night supervisor sign-off and enforcement of lights out
- Recreation
- Lead/Assist with Recreation Activities as scheduled
- Lead/Assist with Nightly Camp Get Togethers as scheduled
Requirements:
- Preferred 1 years of experience working with kids and/or teens
- Ambition to be a positive role model and mentor youth
- Experience working in a camp environment is preferred
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- Well-spoken and articulate over the phone, through written contact, and in person.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate supervision, agile, and able to pivot quickly.
- Exhibits initiative, responsibility, and accountability.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable handling confidential information.
- Successful working in an independent and team environment.
