Location : Nederland, Colorado

Eldora is the backyard winter mountain playground for Greater Denver, Boulder County, and Colorado's northern Front Range. Eldora is located just outside of the charming mountain town of Nederland, Colorado, about 20 miles west of Boulder and less than 50 miles from downtown Denver.

Eldora strives to deliver Colorado's Front Range the most memorable outdoor adventures to locals and out-of-town visitors. Eldora Mountain Resort employs up to 700 employees at peak season and has 680 acres of lift-accessible terrain for skiing and snowboarding, including a Woodward Mountain Park experience, and a world class Nordic Center.

HOUSING AVAILABLE

This person interacts directly with our guests, cooking yummy food for hungry skiers and snowboarders. Must work well under pressure and still have a big smile. You will be on stage in our open-air kitchen.

Basic Requirements :

Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
Bending, reaching, climbing.
Pushing / Pulling.
Prolonged standing.
Eye / hand coordination.
Visual concentration on equipment.
Rapid reaction to physical changes (operating equipment).
Peripheral, color, and depth vision.
Variation in temperature from hot to cold.

Job Overview :

Advanced knowledge of baking techniques.

Knowledge of Sustainability practices in the food industry.

Have exceptional working knowledge of ovens, stoves, coolers, freezers, kettles, and fryers.

Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.

Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between coworkers.

Set up the line with cooking utensils and equipment.

Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients.

Have an exceptional knowledge of portion control and plate presentation.

Cook food in a timely manner.

Follow direction from Sous Chef and Head Chef.

Participate in daily specials team meetings.

Keep your area clean and sanitized throughout the shift.

Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.

Restock items throughout the day.

Work closely with other Line Cooks.

This position is a seasonal position and may have fluctuations in hours worked based upon overall business volumes.

Compensation : Proposed hiring rate of $19 / hour tips. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Benefits : This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees / dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail / rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
