The leader of the Woodward Park City Marketing team, the Director of Marketing – Woodward Park City will own the execution of the annual marketing plan for the Woodward's Park City business (WWPC), play an integral role in the development of the long-term marketing strategy for WWPC, champion the Woodward Park City brand and value proposition internally and externally, and will be a part of the team that brings the brand promise to life for all Woodward visitors.
Reporting directly to the Woodward Park City General Manager, this position is a highly visible role with a tremendous ability to influence and impact the organization and the next generation of action sports enthusiasts. Successful candidates will be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-moving environment akin to an entrepreneurial startup. Having an agile mindset is a key pre-requisite: Candidates must be comfortable taking ownership and driving a project that may have reasonable elements of ambiguity and must be brave enough to ask for help, clarification, and/or guidance at an impasse.

Essential Marketing Duties:
Campaign Management
- Responsible for the overall direction, strategy, and management of brand and product campaigns. This role requires an individual with exceptional strategic planning abilities, leadership skills, and a strong understanding of marketing, communication and integrated channel strategies. The Director of Marketing will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that campaigns are effectively designed, implemented, and measured for success. This position is ideal for someone who is innovative, result-driven, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive campaign strategies.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of campaigns.
- Manage a team of channel specialists and agencies.
- Collaborate with marketing, communications, and creative teams.
- Monitor campaign performance and make data-driven adjustments.
- Maintain budget oversight and allocate resources effectively.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment of campaigns with organizational goals and objectives.
- Analyze market trends and competitive activities.
- Manage and mitigate campaign-related risks.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management.
- Coordinate with external vendors and agencies as necessary.
- Lead post-campaign evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
Project Management
Owns the development and execution of the annual go-to-market plan for WWPC. Owns the development and execution of an annual marketing calendar illustrating how key messages and activities supporting WWPC’s business objectives will come to life across each channel throughout the calendar year. Collaborates with various constituents (Global Marketing Team functions, WWPC Senior Leadership Team, Coaching and Facilities, External Contractors) to create, edit, and adapt the library of digital and print assets necessary to execute against the annual marketing plan as prescribed. Ensure all consumer touchpoints across all Woodward Park City channels (social, digital, CRM, paid, earned) are consistent with established Woodward brand guidelines and established best marketing practices.
Team Leadership
Supports and leads the WWPC marketing team and assists channel leads, including Event and Brand Activation Manager, Content Manager, Digital Marketing Specialist, and Marketing Specialist, in managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines. Owns and drives the annual performance review process for assigned direct reports. Develops, coaches, and advises direct reports on best practices for brand marketing communication, cross-functional collaboration, and channel-specific performance, reporting, and analysis.
Channel Marketing Management and Leadership
This role ensures that WWPC owned marketing channels – including (but not limited to) Paid / Performance Media, Digital / Website, CRM, Social Media, and Earned Media - are fully leveraged in support of WWPC’s near and long-term business objectives & annual financial goals, incorporate best-in-class marketing practices that boost engagement, enhance brand affinity & consideration, and reinforce Woodward’s leadership position in Action Sports while reducing acquisition costs.
Brand Management
Owns the brand for all Woodward Park City guests. Develops the metrics to monitor, track, and evaluate marketing and sales results derived from marketing efforts, events, and activations.
Advertising & Paid Media.
Manages agency and contractor relationships with support from POWDR partners on behalf of Woodward Park City, including paid media, creative, and digital agency partners. Manage creative and graphic design projects, asset delivery, reporting, and tracking.
Communication
Establishes clear lines of communication and ways of working with sports marketing and creative partners within WWPC, across the organization, and 3rd party agencies.
Community Management
Contributes to Woodward's culture as an inclusive environment that engages, excites, and inspires the next generation of action sports enthusiasts.
Collaboration
Collaborates with WWPC operations, programming, and facilities teams to ensure that programming, products, and overall experience align with marketing and communication efforts.
Strategic Planning
Together with the Leadership team, serves as a key partner in the annual strategic planning process.
Preferred Experience / Special Skills:
- Marketing Strategy and Channel Management experience. Direct experience developing the strategy and owning execution of a marketing calendar and annual plan.
- Process Implementation: Has demonstrated success developing and implementing annual marketing processes in small, young entrepreneurial institutions.
- Budget management experience: Has demonstrated an ability to successfully own, manage, and report on an annual marketing budget.
- 6 - 8 years of experience in related field.
- A four-year college degree is preferred.
- Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Suite & Keynote preferred.
- Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team, and to lead teams in achieving goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Serves as team marketing lead for WWPC.
- Oversees Event and Brand Activation Manager, Content Manager, Digital Marketing Specialist, Marketing Specialist, and their management of additional team, flexing up seasonal marketing content contractors during key periods.
