Location : Death Valley, California
Stovepipe Wells in Death Valley National Park - Journey Beyond the Ordinary. Stovepipe Wells has an 80-room hotel, restaurant, bar, pool, gas station, general store, and gift shop. Stovepipe is a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort providing accommodations and services inside Death Valley National Park. Over the next few years, the resort will undergo upgrades to rejuvenate accommodations and dining for public enjoyment. POWDR operates Stovepipe Wells under a long-term concession contract with the National Park Service.
Position : Front Desk Staff
Location : Stovepipe Wells, CA. Inside Death Valley National Park.
Job Status : Full Time, Year-Round
Stovepipe Wells has an 80-room hotel, restaurant, bar, pool, gas station, general store, and gift shop. Stovepipe is a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort providing accommodations and services inside Death Valley National Park. Over the next few years, the resort will undergo upgrades to rejuvenate accommodations and dining for public enjoyment. Substantial renewable energy projects and energy efficiency upgrades will also be completed. POWDR operates Stovepipe Wells under a long-term concession contract with the National Park Service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Greet and assist visitors, answer questions and explain regulations.
- Answer phones, handle reservations and respond to guest inquiries.
- Manage reservation processes with care, precision and finesse.
- Retain a report of occupied or vacant rooms and RV campsites. Distribute maps, park rules and local information.
- Assist guests in locating hotel rooms, RV sites and NPS Campsite.
- Inform incoming guests where family or friends are located.
- Be familiar with local points of interest and the location of services that might be requested by guests such as eateries, sundries, refreshments, churches, tourist attractions and local events.
- Perform basic duties in common areas to maintain an attractive and clean environment. Report any disturbances or damage to the Operations Manager.
Each hotel must be cleaned after guests check out and before guests check in.
