Shift Opportunities:
First Shift: Monday-Friday, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with overtime available
Second Shift: Monday-Friday, from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with overtime available
Your Impact
In this position, your expertise in systems operation, maintenance, and equipment repair is invaluable. You will oversee HVAC, electrical systems, and general upkeep while executing inspections and rapid repairs to assure smooth facility function. Your role involves aligning with external contractors and managing our inventory of maintenance resources. Your skills in technology and independent work ethic are your greatest assets here.
Accountabilities
- Conduct varied maintenance activities in carpentry, electrical, or plumbing.
- Address minor plumbing and lighting repairs efficiently.
- Offer support for sheetrock installations and office painting prep.
- Collaborate with other maintenance professionals for optimum facility function.
Qualifications You Need
Educational & Experience Requirements:
- Completion of high school or GED
- At least four years in a facilities maintenance setting
Skills & Abilities:
- Expertise in using shop equipment such as sanders and forklifts.
- Electrical troubleshooting skills in an industrial backdrop.
- Commitment to following industrial safety guidelines.
- Strong communication skills are essential; proficiency in English required.
- Work well independently or within a dynamic team environment.
Working Environment and Physical Requirements
Work Setting:
- The role requires indoor warehouse and manufacturing plant work with occasional outdoor tasks.
- Minor travel to offsite locations in Houston is required, but it is less than 5% of overall time.
Physical Capabilities:
- Balance and agility needed for walking, standing, and climbing.
- Regular requirement to bend, stand, and lift heavy items (60 lbs).
- Dexterity for repetitive tasks is important.
