Job Description

The Assisted Living Facility Administrator is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with residents, their family members, and all staff. Accountable for APD & AHCA compliance with state and federal laws. Oversees effective and exceptional resident care and a positive facility reputation. Accountable for appropriate employee hiring, training, and culture. Accountable for maintaining census goals.

Position details:

Status: Full-time and salary depends on qualifications. Growth opportunities available for the right person.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all operations of your designated community
• Ensure the community complies with and maintains licensures appropriate to an assisted living facility
• Maintain and develop resident care plans, administering medication and following up on Med Techs.
• Ensure that all residents receive care in a manner that enhances their quality of life
• Ensuring continuity of care by getting to know each resident, their needs and the best approach to their healthcare as a whole. Through full-time interaction with residents, and are able to observe them in detail, catching minor health complications early for a faster recovery.
• Understanding of all clinical policy and supporting documentation
• Report and keep up to date occurrences to the owner
• Participate in facility inspections made by authorized agencies. Develop and implement a plan of correction for deficiencies during inspections, if applicable.
• Ensure maintenance of the communities and building are in order
• Represent your facility in all dealings with outside agencies, including governmental agencies and vendors
• Participate in marketing the communities
• Able to schedule employee shift coverage
• Be a leader and the face of your designated facility

Skills/Requirements:

• Must be ACHA CORE Trained
• 4 or more years' previous management experience (AL or LTC)
• 2 or more years previous Nursing Background either LPN or RN license (Is a Plus)
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Possess strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft programs
• Must have attention to details for compliance
• Be compassionate about our industry
• Must have the ability to solve operational and people problems
• Must be available in the event of emergencies after regular working hours if needed

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Supervising Experience: 10 years (Required)
• Assisted living/Skill/LTC: 5 years (Required)
• Nursing Background (Preferred)
• At least 5 years of management experience (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Core License (Required)

• APD Zero Tolerance & APD Direct Care Core Competencies (Preferred)
• Driver's License & Can drive a passenger van (Required)
