The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in transformer manufacturing or engineering, substation operations, industrial power systems, or utility distribution reliability and power quality. This role involves monitoring and analyzing electrical power systems to proactively identify and resolve power quality issues, ensuring reliable power delivery. The engineer will collaborate closely with clients, recommend corrective measures, and work alongside internal and external engineering teams to improve power system operations while staying updated on industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze power quality data using monitoring equipment to detect issues such as voltage sags, swells, harmonics, and transients.
- Interpret data to identify trends and root causes of power quality problems and provide recommendations to clients.
- Investigate power quality concerns and propose solutions to mitigate their impact on equipment and operations.
- Develop and recommend corrective actions such as power factor correction, harmonic filtering, and load balancing.
- Collaborate with internal maintenance teams and client teams to address equipment issues contributing to power quality challenges.
- Provide technical expertise during the design phase of products and solutions.
- Serve as an expert-level transformer engineer, capable of performing condition assessments.
- Compile and analyze data for assessments and contribute to reports.
- Ensure product compliance with relevant power quality standards and regulations.
- Work closely with electrical engineers, facility managers, and operations teams to address power quality issues.
- Communicate technical information regarding power quality concerns and proposed solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 10 years of experience in transformer technical sales, manufacturing, industrial plant operations, electric utility distribution, system operations, engineering, or reliability engineering.
- Strong understanding of power systems, power quality principles, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in power quality analysis software and monitoring equipment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical writing and reporting abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to take initiative and adapt to a fast-growing, mid-sized company.
- Commitment to performing work in accordance with company Health and Safety programs.
- Experience with industry standards, including CSA, IEEE, ANSI, and IEC, related to distribution transformers and power system operations.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to execute plans efficiently.

Salary : $140,000 - $150,000
