Overview :
We are seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented designers and engineers to fill roles in Electrical Engineering. Join our dynamic team at Power Cool Engineers, PC, a leading MEP consulting engineering firm specializing in the Mission Critical industry. As a Mission Critical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems for Mission Critical facilities such as data centers, telecommunications hubs, and other high-tech environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that demand precision, reliability, and innovation.
Responsibilities :
System Design and Analysis : Design and analyze Electrical systems for Mission Critical facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop integrated solutions that meet the unique demands of Mission Critical environments.
Electrical Engineering :
Develop reliable mission critical electrical distribution systems, redundant including power distribution, emergency power generation, and uninterruptable systems. Conduct short circuit and coordination studies and implement solutions to ensure reliable operation of the power supply.
Collaboration :
Work closely with project teams, including mechanical engineers, low voltage & security engineers, architects, structural engineers, civil engineers and other stakeholders to coordinate Mechanical and Plumbing systems with overall project requirements. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to foster effective communication and integration of design elements. Travel for design meetings, coordination and construction administration may be required.
Code Compliance and Quality Assurance :
Stay abreast of industry codes, standards, and emerging technologies relevant to Mission Critical facilities. Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure that designs meet or exceed client expectations and industry best practices.
Project Management :
Assist in project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and monitoring project progress. Provide technical expertise to support the successful execution of Mission Critical projects.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is desired but not required
Professional Engineering (PE) license is desired but not required.
3 years of experience in design / engineering, with a focus on Mission Critical facilities.
Proficiency in relevant design software and tools (SCCS, Load Calculations, etc.)
Proficiency in Revit and / or AutoCAD is desired.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
