Description
Key Objective :
To work together with the Director of Human Resources completing assigned tasks, reaching set goals, and improve standards within the department and company as a whole
Performance Standards :
Maintain requisition forms, job postings, and participate in marketing for job recruitment. Organize applications / resumes, schedule interviews while also participating in the interviewing process. Ensure reference checks, background checks, immunizations, and drug testing are completed and documentation filed.
Complete a monthly OIG & SAM search on all active employees and keep documentation.
Assist HR Director in creating and maintaining individual’s files on all employees including but not limited to application forms, licensing, withholding forms, continuing education, background check forms, wage history, employee counseling, and employee evaluations. In maintaining the employees file the HR asst. will keep employee files in consistent order that is functional and tidy. Part of maintaining employee files is documenting past files and shredding older files when the record retention time is up. Remind staff of outdated information in his / her files such as expired licenses, and assisting employees in keeping the documents current.
Provide new employee orientation as directed by HR Director and assist with ongoing re-orientation and in-service trainings for all employees.
Maintain filing systems according to the needs of the individual department manager
Remain a support function for payroll including creating a monthly newsletter.
Gather and compile information necessary for Quality Improvement projects assigned to the HR Department
Complete termination paperwork, requesting access and PCHD property be returned and file employment records.
Act as a witness to employee coaching and counseling moments in which a third party is needed to take notes.
Work with HR Director to improve work flow processes within the department to continually increase productivity in the HR department.
