About The Position…

If you’re an observant and detail-oriented thinker with a drive to provide security and safety, you might be our next Campus Security Officer! In this role, you will be the vigilant eyes overseeing and providing a safe and secure environment at our 40-acre corporate headquarters in St. Petersburg, FL.

While playing an integral role in delivering an outstanding campus experience to our #PDIFamily, our Campus Security Officer will be involved in all aspects of physical security, electronic access control, visitor management, CCTV, and life safety systems. position details/responsibilities…

• Be a front-facing ambassador of hospitality and PDI culture, greeting employees and customers, and providing excellent customer service.
• Physical security and protection of personnel and assets.
• Patrol assigned buildings and grounds to deter criminal acts and other nefarious acts.
• Monitor associate and visitor movements.
• Report safety and fire hazards observed on routine patrols and inspections.
• Manage parking areas (barricades, directing traffic, etc.), verify parking decals, and assist with parking enforcement and patrols.
• Respond and assist with security and medical situations as needed.
• Serve as a member of the fire control team and emergency evacuation team.
• Issue and assign building keys and security access cards.
• Follow established procedures in handling threats in the workplace.
• Ensure that security incidents are properly documented and reported.
  
  

here’s what we’re looking for…

• High School diploma or GED is required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; must be able to obtain a Class D license.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain CPR certification.
• Basic concepts, principles, and practices of providing security in a corporate setting.
• Understanding of security threats and protocol for handling security and emergency situations.
• Recognition and detection of dangerous substances and devices.
• Experienced with crowd management and control techniques.
• Understanding of Life Safety protocols and standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift objects up to 50 pounds, and run on occasion.
• Demonstrate and uphold all of Power Design’s core values, which include integrity, accountability, teamwork, innovation and growth.
