By providing reporting and analytics to department managers and executive management, the Financial Analyst assists with the business decision-making process. This role is perfect for someone who has an eye for detail and a desire to help drive process improvements and long-term strategy based on sound analyses.
Position Details/Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial plans, forecasts, operational information and reports.
- Compare and evaluate budgets and forecasts with actual results.
- Evaluate results and variances, identifying trends and potential for improvement while reconciling issues and/or discrepancies by comparing and correcting data.
- Increase productivity by developing automated applications, eliminating duplicate efforts and coordinating information requirements.
- Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports and making presentations of findings and analyses that include the use of charts and graphs to illustrate data.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance is required.
- 2-4 years of experience working within a corporate finance or FP&A position. Project-based experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and expert level in Excel, including complex formulas and macros.
- Experience with Hyperion is a plus.
- A problem solver with strong critical thinking skills who can work well independently.
- Someone highly organized and detail-oriented who has strong written and verbal communication skills and can maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
