position details/responsibilities…
- Ensure project milestones and deliverable dates are met.
- Document and communicate effectively with the Chief Estimator on design reviews and status updates for projects assigned.
- Facilitate design assist/value engineering meetings with clients, consultants, and project personnel
- Attend project design review meetings.
- Review legal contracts, scopes of work, specifications, plans, and pertinent jurisdictional codes: review designs for contract compliance.
- Provide detailed markups and PDI design development plans to the Project Team for review, approval, and implementation into the contract documents.
- Cultivate strong relationships with Project Management, General Contractors, Engineers, and Developers.
- Work hand in hand with PDI Engineering for design-build providing peer review comments.
- 5 years in the construction industry with management experience.
- Seeks accountability for project milestones and deliverables; able to motivate others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to control and drive the Value Engineering/Design Assist process.
- Detailed knowledge of the National Mechanical Code.
- Experience using technologies like Bluebeam, Excel, and Microsoft Suite.
- Knowledge of different mechanical systems and installations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and specifications.
- Able to manage and motivate others in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a fluid schedule.
