This position is 100% onsite at our Bohemia, NY office.

The compensation range for this role is $26-33 / hr.

This position requires a U.S Person or a person who can qualify for a Department of State or Department of Commerce License.

Position Summary :

The primary function of the Facilities Mechanic A is to perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of all plant facilities and infrastructure. This position requires a high level of expertise in plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and general building maintenance. The Facilities Mechanic A will independently handle more complex maintenance tasks, ensuring that all facility systems operate efficiently and reliably, and will serve as a subject matter expert for the Facilities Department.

Key Position Accountabilities :

• Perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and other critical facility infrastructure, including water, nitrogen, compressed air, and lighting systems.
• Independently complete complex repairs and installations of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Oversee and execute preventative maintenance for all building systems, equipment, and machinery, ensuring the longevity and efficiency of facilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical failures, minimizing downtime in critical systems and production areas.
• Maintain and update maintenance logs, records of repairs, and parts used, ensuring accurate documentation of all work performed.
• Safely handle and dispose of chemical waste, and ensure proper distribution of supplies to manufacturing locations.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform quick, effective repairs to mitigate system failures and maintain operational continuity.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment and adherence to all company policies.
