This position is 100% onsite at our Bohemia, NY location.
This position, Laser Trim Technician, requires a U.S Person or a person who can qualify for a Department of State or Department of Commerce License.
Job Description:
Use computer interface to configure, program and operate the Laser Trimming systems used to trim and verify resistance values and continuity checks of thin film networks.
Shift - 7 AM 3:45 PM, Monday through Friday. Length of training based on ability to perform tasks independently.
Essential Functions
1. Adhere to company policies, and procedures in accordance with the Policy Manual, and Standard Operating Procedures
2. Meet daily production goals with limited supervision.
3. Perform laser Trim operations independently to enhance workflow.
5. Perform final test of the resistor networks and taking data.
6. Packaging of material for inspection
7. Moving material to stock after inspection. (Entering data into Glovia, closing work orders as needed)
Job Requirements:
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, specifications and drawings.
- Ability to apply basic electronics and mathematical knowledge to establish optimal trim routines as they relate to customer requirements.
- The equivalent of a high school education as defined by the NYS Education Department.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time if needed.
- Steady hand; Good hand/eye dexterity
- Ability to work overtime as needed and on short notice
- Ability to use a microscope (5 to 40X)
- Ability to learn various programs used for moving material around the facility.
- Ability to effectively communicate and understand English (read, write and speak)
- Due to export controls, U.S. person is required - U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident.
