Drafter – Civil Site Engineering /Land Development- Part Time
POWER Engineers, Inc. seeks a Part- Time Drafter to work in the Civil Engineering Department. The position entails drafting and designing opportunities on electrical utility and renewables projects, including supporting site civil and land development engineering—plan and profiles, grading and earthwork, erosion control, stormwater management and drainage, and access roads. Flexibility is available in a hybrid work environment.
Required Education/Experience
- Associate degree in drafting (or equivalent technical degree)
- AutoCAD 2016-2024 experience
- Experience with MicroStation a plus
- Must be flexible to changes in work assignments as changes occur in project needs
- Willing and able to self-check own work for completeness and accuracy
- The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with other team members
Desired Education/Experience
- 0-3 years of drafting experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation in a Civil Engineering practice
- Experience with the following software packages is a plus:
- Bluebeam Revu
- Microsoft Office
- ProjectWise
- Good background in site development and construction including the electrical utility industry
