Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer

Help us assist multiple types of clients (Independent Power Producers, Municipal Electric Utilities, Investor-Owned Utilities, Contractors, and Developers), address their challenges, and implement future power grid systems. Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical piping and equipment for renewable and fossil power generation facilities
- Prepare mechanical equipment and packaged equipment specifications and data sheets, RFQs, and technical bid evaluations
- Review mechanical equipment vendor drawings and data. Interface with suppliers, clients, other engineering disciplines, and detailers/designers.
- Ensure effective communications with other engineering disciplines.
- Prepare construction/installation scopes of work for mechanical systems.
- Participate in the development of PFD's and P&ID's
- Perform piping design activities including sizing, pressure drop calculations, stress analysis, and pipe support design.
- Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
- BSME (Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering) degree from an accredited university
- 5 years of experience in mechanical design for industrial facilities
- Professional Engineering registration in at least one US State
- The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel.
- Power plant design experience
- Renewable natural gas plant design experience
- Working knowledge of Microstation or Auto CAD
- Working knowledge of Smart Plant 3D or CADworx
- Experience using Caesar II or AutoPipe
- Experience using Thermoflow
