Job Summary Of Roles And Responsibilities
POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking electrical engineering students for an internship in the Facilities Electrical Department. With oversight from experienced engineers, the candidates will be involved in many different aspects of facilities electrical design, learning how to perform engineering tasks by applying appropriate engineering principles, practices, and theories.

In addition to working under the guidance of experienced team members, the selected intern will also participate in sessions designed to develop your skills and provide networking opportunities. Those sessions include:

Job Summary Of Roles And Responsibilities
POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking electrical engineering students for an internship in the Facilities Electrical Department. With oversight from experienced engineers, the candidates will be involved in many different aspects of facilities electrical design, learning how to perform engineering tasks by applying appropriate engineering principles, practices, and theories.
Skills
In addition to working under the guidance of experienced team members, the selected intern will also participate in sessions designed to develop your skills and provide networking opportunities. Those sessions include:
- Professional Development sessions focused on resume writing, interview tips, building a LinkedIn profile, and more.
- Early Talent Speaker Series where leaders speak to interns about their role, vision for the company, and career path, offer career advice, and a Q&A session.
- Fun Friday activities where interns company-wide join to network and have some fun while doing it.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.
- Minimum of a 3.0 GPA.
- Emphasis of study is on power systems for the electrical engineering degree, with coursework in power system analysis, electric machines, and similar, is a plus.
- SKM, ETAP, EasyPower, or other power system analysis software experience.
- Candidate is interested in the engineering consulting industry.
- Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills will be critical for the successful completion of tasks.
- Familiarity with design, drafting, or engineering software such as AutoCAD as well as Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.) is beneficial.
- Prior internship and/or related engineering experience is a plus.
- EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification is a plus.
