Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer (Overhead Transmission Lines)
POWER Engineers is currently seeking an Entry-Level Civil/Structural Engineer to work in its Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Department in Richmond, Virginia. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions.

Salary DOE: The pay range for this position is $68k - $80K per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.

POWER Engineers is currently seeking an Entry-Level Civil/Structural Engineer to work in its Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Department in Richmond, Virginia. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions.
Required
Required Education/Experience:
- BSME (Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering) degree from an accredited university
- The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel
- Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite
- Minimum 2.75 Grade Point Average (GPA)
- Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveying
- Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to civil and/or structural engineering, is desirable
- Engineer In Training (EIT) registration is desired
- Familiarity with design, drafting or engineering software such as MATHCAD, SOLIDWORKS, AUTOCAD, etc. as well as Microsoft Excel is beneficial.
