Mid-Level Site Civil Engineer
POWER Engineers seeks a mid-level Site Civil Engineer to join our team supporting the electrical utility and renewable energy service areas. Our department specializes in high-performing projects with a focus on the future. Our goal is to deliver excellent projects and a positive experience for our clients and communities.
This position will report to the Rocky Mount, Virginia location with the ability to work remotely. Employees may travel to a POWER office for periodic meetings.
Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities
You’ll be asked to support grading and drainage / stormwater management design for new and existing electrical utility sites, renewable energy sites (solar, wind, battery storage), and access road design, permitting, and construction support.
- Prepare and review engineering deliverables in support of civil / site engineering projects :
oAutoCAD / AutoCAD Civil 3D and / or MicroStation
oHydrologic and hydraulic modeling
oStormwater management calculations, design, and modeling
oFloodplain modeling and analysis
oSite layout, grading, drainage designs and drawings
oBill of materials
oConstruction specifications
