Power Delivery Substation Department Lead
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Substation Project Engineer to lead our Power Delivery Substation Department in Boston, Massachusetts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring the successful execution of substation design projects.
About the Role:
- You will oversee the detailed design of medium to extra high voltage utility substations, including one-line diagrams, three line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, elementary and wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, substation physical layouts, selection of substation equipment, writing of substation equipment specifications, proposal development, construction cost estimates, and project scheduling.
- You will mentor less experienced staff in substation project execution and grow and manage relationships with local clients.
- You will ensure POWER quality procedures are followed and that the team is resourced in an optimal manner.
- You will perform QA/QC for deliverables to clients across multiple offices.
Requirements:
- A BSEE (BS Electrical Engineering) or BSEET (BS Electrical Engineering Technology) from an accredited university is required.
- A Professional Engineering license (PE) or ability to obtain within one year is required.
- Experience in 15kV through 345kV physical and electrical substation design, and IEEE/ANSI standards is essential.
- At least 10 years of experience in utility substation design and management is preferred.
- Experience filling the role of project engineer for several projects occurring concurrently is necessary.
Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
