The Maintenance Manager will oversee all installation, repair, and maintenance operations for the company's manufacturing facilities, including primary and auxiliary equipment, buildings, and property grounds as needed.LOCATION: Fully Onsite - 2402 Walkup Ave. Monroe, NC 28110ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all machinery, equipment, and systems are maintained in optimal working condition.
- Oversee the repair and replacement of defective equipment.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
- Manage and develop a team of maintenance mechanics, including hiring, training, and coaching as needed.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Utilize predictive maintenance techniques to anticipate and address potential issues before they cause failures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety policies.
- Ownership of the maintenance budget, control maintenance expenses & identify cost-saving opportunities/cost-effective solutions.
- Procure necessary supplies and spare parts, developing and maintaining stockroom inventory level controls
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement; Develop, rack and report out KPIs for the maintenance department
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to support manufacturing operations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders on maintenance activities and issues.
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols; Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and industrial systems.
- Proficient in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical, vacuum and fluid pumps; PLC/Ladder Logic Programming experience and electrical testing a plus
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and remain standing or walking for extended periods.
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering or relevant field preferred - a high level of proven experience may be acceptable
- Minimum of five years of experience in facilities management or a related field.
- Basic computer skills including experience with MS Office products, basic ERP system understanding and working knowledge of various equipment and tools.
