Power Grid Components (PGC) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support the corporate finance team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this position will be responsible for assisting with month-end close, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Power Grid Components (PGC) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support the corporate finance team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this position will be responsible for assisting with month-end close, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
LOCATION: Charlotte, NC area / WFH
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Preparing, analyzing, and comparing Ledger to Sub Ledger.
- Reconciling daily bank transactions and ensuring accurate cash flow tracking.
- Assisting in the preparation of supporting documentation for audits and tax filings.
- Processing and reviewing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as needed.
- Assisting with intercompany transactions and reconciliations across PGC's multiple entities.
- Supporting compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures.
- Participating in special projects, process improvements, and system implementations as needed.
- Providing support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- CPA or working towards CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a multi-entity corporate structure is preferred.
- Prior experience with private equity-owned businesses.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with Infor Syteline preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
