What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Writer position at Power Lodge?
Power Lodge is looking for an outstanding Service Writer to join our team! This position has a broad set of responsibilities and required skill sets. It will include direct customer contact, building relationships, scheduling, estimating, and selling service and maintenance. We need someone that is fun, friendly, a great communicator, exceptionally organized and enjoys working in a team environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide world class customer service.
- Schedule service appointments.
- Work with Technicians to provide a timely and accurate diagnosis back to the customer.
- Provide complete and accurate written cost estimates for labor and parts.
- Educate customers on the full scope of services offered.
- Open and close repair orders.
- Clearly understand customer’s service request by asking questions to fully understand and clearly document the request.
- Obtain customers authorization before repairs are performed.
- Establish and communicate a time frame for completion of work.
- Keep customers informed of work progress and maintain continual follow-up.
- Maintain a clean and professional work area.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Good organizational skills and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Marine and/or Powersports experience.
