What are the responsibilities and job description for the Repair Technician position at Power Monitors, Inc.?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs any combination of the following tasks to test, repair, and calibrate new products and customer-returned units.
- Troubleshoot analog, digital, and power supply circuits to the component level using an oscilloscope, DVM, and other basic test equipment
- Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and test customer-returned products
- Communicate repair cost and product issues to the Technical Support team for customer follow-up
- Provide technical support to production test technicians as needed
- Proactive in reporting product failures and design concerns to supervisor and Design Engineers
- Assist in answering customer service calls
- Implement ECO changes on products returned for repair
- Testing of new software versions with older units
- Use accounting software to prepare customer quotes
- Maintains clean and safe work environment.
Skills
- Working knowledge of AC and DC circuit theory and application.
- Ability to troubleshoot analog, digital, and power supply circuits to the component level using oscilloscope, DVM, and other basic test equipment
- Hand soldering and de-soldering of electronic components including SMT parts
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Education: A.A.S. in Electronic Technology or equivalent
Experience: Two (2) Years in related electronic repair and/or testing
