Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Performs any combination of the following tasks to test, repair, and calibrate new products and customer-returned units.

  • Troubleshoot analog, digital, and power supply circuits to the component level using an oscilloscope, DVM, and other basic test equipment
  • Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and test customer-returned products
  • Communicate repair cost and product issues to the Technical Support team for customer follow-up
  • Provide technical support to production test technicians as needed
  • Proactive in reporting product failures and design concerns to supervisor and Design Engineers
  • Assist in answering customer service calls
  • Implement ECO changes on products returned for repair
  • Testing of new software versions with older units
  • Use accounting software to prepare customer quotes
  • Maintains clean and safe work environment.


Skills

  • Working knowledge of AC and DC circuit theory and application.
  • Ability to troubleshoot analog, digital, and power supply circuits to the component level using oscilloscope, DVM, and other basic test equipment
  • Hand soldering and de-soldering of electronic components including SMT parts
  • Good written and verbal communication skills


Education:  A.A.S. in Electronic Technology or equivalent

Experience:  Two (2) Years in related electronic repair and/or testing
