Overhauling and maintaining construction, mining, and aggregate equipment. Able to diagnose root cause of failure and repair back to OEM standards. Ability to air-arch, weld, cut and grind. Able to perform field machining service (Line Boring) or willing to learn. Must have the ability to perform disassembly and assembly or machines to perform repairs
Responsibilities
Overhauling and maintaining construction, mining, and aggregate equipment. Able to diagnose root cause of failure and repair back to OEM standards. Ability to air-arch, weld, cut and grind. Responsibilities
- Fabricate and repair equipment components, buckets, attachments, and structural parts.
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Operate grinders, cutting torches, and other shop equipment as needed.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.
- Work collaboratively with technicians and shop personnel to complete projects on time.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical certification in welding preferred.
- 2 years of welding experience, preferably in a heavy equipment or industrial setting.
- Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and basic fabrication tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and work independently or in a team.
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
