About the Job:

• Title: Licensed Clinical Social Worker
• Pay: $70.00 - $85.00 per hour (depending on experience)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
• Duration: 6-month contract with potential for long-term placement
• Start Date: ASAP

Requirements:

• CA Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or CA Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS)
• Minimum 6 months of full-time social work experience in behavioral health or providing clinical/case management services
• Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, counseling, nursing, or related field
• Electronic charting experience
• Valid and current CA Motor Vehicle Operator's license
• Experience in mental health, specifically with schizophrenia

Preferred:

• Previous work experience in a detention facility (highly preferred)
• Previous experience and knowledge of the CARE program (highly preferred)
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) - must have prior to start
• Completion of the "Medicare Enrollment Process for Physicians and Non-Physician Practitioners" through CMS - must have prior to start
• Enrollment in the Provider Application and Validation for Enrollment (PAVE) web portal - must have prior to start

• Knowledge of current theories, principles, and practices for clients with serious behavioral health symptoms and diagnoses
• Understanding of psychological diagnostic methods and terminology
• Familiarity with cultural and social factors affecting behavior patterns
• Knowledge of wellness, recovery, and resiliency-oriented strategies and supports
• Expertise in dual recovery/co-occurring disorder treatment, screening, and assessment tools
• Awareness of community needs, resources, and organizations related to behavioral health care
• Proficiency in computer applications related to the work

Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical and case management services to Behavioral Health Clinic Services clients
• Conduct initial and ongoing psychosocial strength-based assessments
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Conduct individual, group, and family psychotherapy sessions
• Provide education on behavioral health care symptoms and medication roles
• Prepare and maintain psychosocial case histories
• Provide crisis intervention and stabilize clients in crisis
• Maintain records in accordance with Quality Assurance standards
• Prepare reports, case summaries, and other written materials
• Testify in court as required
• Conduct mental status examinations and formulate DSM-IV related diagnoses
• Collaborate with other departments and agencies
• Provide education and consultation services to Alameda County departments and the community
• May provide direction and assistance to Behavioral Health Clinicians I and graduate interns
• Serve as a liaison to other community agencies
• Conduct assessments and mental status exams for incarcerated individuals under CARE Court orders
