What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Power Plus Systems, LLC?
Pay Range: $85k/yr
Bonus Potential:
Effective upon satisfactory completion of the first 90 days of employment, and based upon the goals and objectives agreed to in the performance development planning process with your manager, you may be eligible for a bonus. The bonus plan for this year and beyond, should such a plan exist, will be based on the formula determined by the company for that year.
Objectives:
- Manage and implement all company financial documents, including interfacing with the CEO to handle the general ledger, payroll, invoicing, revenue, credit management, accounts receivable, payables, and insurance administration.
- Oversee daily accounting functions and prepare payroll documentation and monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide strategic planning, systems design, and financial analysis to support the company’s growth, including developing cash flow projections and budgets for profit and cost centers.
- Oversee the sourcing, orientation, and record maintenance for all Human Assets of Power Plus Systems, LLC, ensuring efficient human resource management.
- Conduct CFO-style analysis to guide the company’s growth and direction, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Competencies:
- Possess strong financial acumen with an understanding of financial documents, general ledger, payroll, invoicing, revenue, and credit management, including the ability to manage accounts receivable, payables, and insurance administration.
- Ability to effectively oversee daily accounting functions and prepare accurate payroll and monthly financial reports, as well as collaborating with CPA firms for tax planning and year-end financials.
- Skills in planning, systems design, and financial analysis, including the ability to develop cash flow projections and budgets to ensure profitability.
- Proficiency in human resource management, including efficiently sourcing, orienting, and maintaining records for personnel.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to interface effectively with the CEO and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective collaboration and reporting.
- High level of attention to detail in preparing and reviewing financial documents and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related area of study, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a similar role within the electrical contracting industry.

- Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
