The Shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the multi-plex repair shop to primarily repair and service customer pumps and related equipment.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides direction and guidance to pipe shop & skid shop teams.
• Provide technical leadership to coordinate growth, development and training of welders & associated staff.
• Maintain and track ASME Code welder qualifications/certifications.
• Thorough understanding of ASME specific code requirements for ASME B31.3 & B31.8.
• Perform Weld Inspections and CWI Inspections if CWI certified.
• Actively participate in management planning and strategy meetings.
• Provides quotes/bids to customers.
• Request quotes/bids from approved vendors.
• Prepare detailed reports and track trends to recommend changes in material and design to improve weld processes and procedures.
• Track project hours by task to maintain project budgets. Provide feedback to project management & estimating regarding project cost deviations.
• Track & forecast materials/consumables usage, communicate with procurement for replacement/fulfillment of aforementioned.
• Other duties, as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• High School diploma and/or work equivalent.
• Lead/Supervisor experience in relevant industry
• Organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR
• Communication skills, both written and oral, with Power Service personnel and customers
• Ability to work without supervision and possibly at a customer’s location
