POSITION : Senior Finance Manager
LOCATION : Jupiter, FL
STATUS : Salary-exempt
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Finance Manager will take a leadership role in the management and control of all finance functions and will serve as a business partner in the PSM executive leadership team. Contribute to the definition and execution of business vision and strategy. Provides strategic financial and budgetary management support, advice, and consultative services to business leaders enabling them to make informed business decisions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Strategy Planning & Management
Act as strategic business partner to senior executive leadership team.
Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts.Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plan of organization.Identify, acquire and implement systems and software to provide critical financial and operational information. Evaluate departments and make suggestions for automating processes and increasing working efficiency.Recruit, interview and hire finance and accounting staff as required.Participate in pivotal decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives and operational models.Interact with and bring department into line with company plans, initiatives, and recommendations.Implement policies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate by senior leadership team.Financial Analysis, Budgeting & ForecastingPrepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss, forecast vs. budget by department and cash flow.
Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations.Develop and maintain monthly operating budget and annual company operating budget.Utilize forward-looking models and activity-based analyses to provide financial insight into the organization’s plans and operating budgets.Manage financial planning and analysis departments. Supervise creation of reports, software implementation and tools for budgeting and forecasting.Ensure all business reporting deadlines are achieved on time, in full.Cash ManagementManage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability.
Oversee weekly cash management and Accounts Payable Department, and approve payables.Supervise Accounts Receivable management and provide guidance relating to the collection process.Finance Relations & PoliciesSeek for constant process improvements and harmonization within and outside the finance function, define new processes and issue guidelines, directives or work instructions if necessary.
Align business information tools (e.g. SAP), both within own scope and work across departments to improve quality of information for the business.Be first line to ensure consistent treatment of finance related matters across the business.Responsible for Internal Control oversight and compliance within own area of responsibility.Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy; applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.Remain current on audit best practices as well as state, federal and local laws regarding company operations.Finance and Accounting Team ManagementMentor and develop finance managers and team, managing work allocation, systems training, performance evaluations, and the building of an effective and efficient team dynamic.
Collaborative work with team members and / or direct reports, to identify the behaviors, know-how, and skills required to achieve goals; identify specific behaviors, know-how, and technical skill areas for focus and evaluation.Perform other duties as assignedMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & Training
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related fieldMust complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training MatrixSkills / Experience
15 years of diverse and progressive accounting and or finance experience5 years of experience solving technical or organizational problems on cross-functional teams, with communication skills at an advanced level.5 years of experience managing direct reports, with successful track record of identifying and promoting the right people on the team to the right places by harnessing and developing individual talents. Proven ability to anticipate future skill and experience requirements to develop / hire people to fill these needs.5 years of experience presenting to peers, higher management, and customers.Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.Experience within manufacturing, technology, or energy industry preferred.Ability to analyze, understand and summarize complex financial data including tax risks related to project structures.Global mindset and ability to work in cross-cultural teams require.Significant experience in computer applications relevant to operational management; including SAP, MS Office programs (advanced Excel).Ability to travel both domestic and internationally on an as-needed basis.Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans / Disabled
