Summary:
We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Public Relations Specialist to help tell the world our story! The PR Specialist will be responsible for continually writing and publishing press releases, success stories, and case studies. You will be responsible for getting our story into golf magazines, newspapers, online forums, social media, and any other viable outlets.
We make specialized golf course equipment that has major benefits for both golfers and club owners. We need someone who enjoys being a part of a fast growing company with a small tightknit team. Daily coordination with management and sales on strategy and content is crucial to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
The Public Relations Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing PR strategies to promote our company’s products and brand within the golf and sports industries. This role involves building relationships with golf and sports media outlets, pitching articles, securing media placements, and managing external communications to enhance our industry reputation.
-Develop and implement PR campaigns to promote our products and brand in golf and sports publications.
-Identify and establish relationships with golf and sports magazines, websites, and industry influencers.
-Write and distribute press releases, articles, and media pitches to secure coverage in targeted publications.
-Collaborate with internal teams to generate compelling content that aligns with industry trends and company objectives.
-Monitor and track media coverage, measuring the success of PR efforts.
-Manage media inquiries and serve as a key point of contact for journalists and editors.
-Assist in planning and executing PR events, trade shows, and sponsorships.
-Stay up to date with industry news and trends to identify new PR opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
-Experience in Public relations, media outreach, or a related role (experience in the golf or sports industry is a plus).
-Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to craft compelling press materials.
-Established network of media contacts in the golf, sports, or outdoor industries is a plus.
-Ability to develop and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and media professionals.
