JOB DUTIES:

  • 40% - Essential - Consulting / Entrepreneurial Ownership-Focused Guidance: Assists clients by providing expert guidance and consultation on strategic growth. Aids clients in the development of a comprehensive strategic growth strategy leading to a sustainable competitive advantage. Collaborates with clients and support-resource partners (including SC SBDC teammates) to empower clients to make a more clear growth project feasibility assessment, to assist per our scope of work with access to capital, and to position for optimal exit per our scope of work. Actively listens to client needs in order to cater consultation to specific client's needs. This may include small-group educational sessions as directed.
  • 40% - Essential - Consulting / Entrepreneurial Management-Focused Guidance: Provides expert guidance and consultation to clients in regard to ongoing managerial tasks aligned with the functional aspects of the client's specific business model. Provides expert counsel regarding a variety of common functional components of small businesses, including Marketing & Sales, Operations, Finance, Human Resources, and Bookkeeping/Accounting. Follows-up as needed with clients to ensure ongoing client success as clients work to manage an ongoing concern. Actively listens to client needs in order to cater consultation to specific client's needs. Coordinates provision of specialty SC SBDC services with internal specialists (govt. contracting, international trade, etc.). This may include small-group educational sessions as directed.
  • 20% - Essential - Non-Consulting / Professional Development and Office Administration: Provides monthly/quarterly/special reports while performing additional office administration tasks, as required. Enters all client activity into the CRM system per procedures on a timely basis. Successfully obtains minimally required professional development credits annually.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education - 1st Bachelor's Degree
  • Work Exp 1 years relevant program experience



PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education - 1st Master's Degree - MBA or Comparable
  • Work Exp 3 years



RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB KNOWLEDGE

  • Firm Job Knowledge - Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.


BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10% - Sit (stationary position) for prolonged period
  • 10% - Walk or move about
  • 80% - Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself



WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • 5% - Overnight Travel



WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Standard Hrs: 25/week



COMPENSATION INFORMATION

  • Expected Salary Range: $38,985 - $45,000
  • Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance
